MORALITY PLAY MEETS MADE UP MUSICAL
Glitter Box Theater:
June 6th, 2018
August 8th, 2018
October 10th, 2018
Grammelot has been touring Pittsburgh’s underground and beyond for six years.
Beginning this June, a triptych of shows at Glitter Box Theater will serve as a proving ground that will push Grammelot’s standard boundaries into uncharted territory. At each of these three Snake-Eye Wednesday events, Grammelot will try on new techniques intended to incorporate audience members more fully into the action. These devices will later become the foundation for a larger Uncumber work in development for the 2019-2020 season.

These Snake-Eye Wednesday shows are Pay-What-You-Can/Pass-The-Hat events that will serve as a fundraiser for Uncumber Theatrics. No ticket necessary. Come as you are.

Dress to move.
Grammelot is a solo improvised musical morality play.
Pittsburgh Magazine’s 2016 Best of the ‘Burgh performer and “Solo Tour de Force” Ayne Terceira take audiences on a journey that spans gibberish preludes, memorable refrains, genre and social commentary.

Audience members inspire the piece by choosing three random objects from a bag. Patrons may also be brought into the action at any time as backup singers, observed bystanders, or unwitting tertiary characters. What emerges is always playful, soulful, and unflinchingly daring.
